OCRText | Most active seniors Miss SHS Being chosen Mr. and Miss SHS is without a doubt the highest hon- or a Socorro senior can receive. | Because the students are nominat- ed and elected by the faculty and administration, it is not a popular- ity contest. Instead, these students were chosen for their dedication to their studies and their contribu- tion to their school and communi- ty. Chosen Miss SHS is Lucina Her- 34 Miss SHS -Lucina Hernandez © nandez. Not only has she main- tained a 3.8 grade point average, she is also ranked number three in her graduating class. . She has also served as an officer of Key Club for two years, partici- pated in the Gifted and Talented Program at Region XIX, and been active in all projects spon- sored by the Class of ’82. Robert Hernandez was named Mr. SHS. He has also been active in class projects, serving as presi- dent as a junior and treasurer as a sophomore. In NJROTC, he was named Company Commander this year, and served as Operations Of- ficer last year.
