OCRText | Magazine appreciates the past Rigo Aguilar Nora Aguirre Freddy Almanzar Millie Apodaca Liz Barnett Monica Bustamantes Luis Cabrera Ida Carbajal It was not an easy job for Spon- sor Charlie McDonald, President Eva Hernandez, Vice President Kim Krowl, Secretary Sandra Her- rera, Treasurer Millie Apodaca and the other students in Sombras del Pasado, the folklore magazine, but they made it a great success. They sold pennants, ‘Just Be- cause’’ grams, had a skating party and a car wash to raise the neces- sary funds to publish their maga- zine. They did interesting stories on asadero cheese, the Border Folk Festival, pecan trees and mariachi music. / They came to know and love the meaning behind the folklore maga- zine. lea (1) In a role playing exercise, reporter Ida Carbajal interviews ex-journalism sponsor, Mrs. Cookie Laffler, portrayed by Eve Her- nandez.
