OCRText | Sacred Bulldog territory As we start a new year we turn and look at our surroundings, see- ing that there were changes all around us. The Freshmen were put back at the Junior High because of overcrowding. Campestre Elemen- tary opened its doors, showing us that our district is growing larger and more prosperous. New facili- ties were added to the high school: 83 Opening — a larger parking lot, a new bus stop and drinking fountains. The gym was repainted, and District 2- AAAAA logos now decorate the walls. It seems it won’t be long be- fore a new high school will be built for our growing district of Socorro. There will be many more changes as more people come to Socorro. Our population will con- tinue to grow, and with it our school, our activities, classes, clubs, teams, spirit, pride and a whole new way to look at Socorro High School will evolve. It won’t be long before we'll be just as big and proud as all the rest. So turn the page to °83, and look at all the changes. |
