OCRText | Working out since early Febru- ary, the young Varsity Baseball squad looked good as they prepared for their 20-game season, opening March 14. Pre- season workouts consisted mainly of infield and batting practice which got the team in shape. Season play included single games and tournaments with all 4-A schools in the area. Head coach for the second year was Mr. Greg Marshall with assistance from B-team coach, Mr. Charles Seagler. Little playing experience was a major concern as the B-team players began practice for the ‘80 season. Composed of freshmen and sophomores, the squad entered pre-season with a great desire to win. Like the Varsity, the B-team also faced a tough schedule. 4. Varsity baseball team members are from left, kneeling, Ray Rodriguez, Eloy Valenzuela, Frankie Dominguez, Jesus Guevara, Herbert Reyes, Albert Que- sada and Raymundo Almos; standing, manager Santiago Pina, Rene Sal- cedo, Jaime Armendariz, Joe Thomp- 1404 sports cTion son, Jacob Ortiz, Peter Garcia, Robert Cox and Coach Greg Marshall. - 2.
